For such case, we think that your issue is like what we recommend on our website, which is the following:
"For the image path and link, if the image/link from outside your domain, make sure you put http://, otherwise, if it is from your domain, put only the sub-folder (after your domain).. example outside: http://www.o-sense.com/osense.png ... example inside: /images/joomla_logo_black.jpg . (For best practice, we recommend to add the full image path even if it is in your domain, so it will not affect the appearance when SEF is enabled)."
If you enabled the SEF links, you have to put the full image path so the browser will distinguish where the image is, because in the SEF enabled, the links will look like the following:
So, if you put the image link like this: /image/123.jpg, then the browser will look to the image on the above example as the following:
Which is wrong path.

Just change the path to full path and check your website again.
