Optimized FB Like Box works on a Facebook Fan Page link, the link must be something like this:
Again, note that the link must be (http) not (https), (https) links may not work properly due to security issues.
Don't forget to rate our extensions in the JED using the following link:

I read the instructions above, but did not help. The facebook page I want to link has one given URL, I do not understand how can I make it "something like this http://www.facebook.com/pages/Optimized-Sense/230549220294427?ref=ts&__user=647980202" as in the description above
When I copy the URL, it does not have any "?ref", it ends with that long number. If I only add this to the respective field in the module, it does not work.
How do I get the URL with the "?ref" thing in the end ?
Thanks
Our above instruction is to clarify the mean of the "Facebook page & how to create it", since some of our customers thought that the module works on their profiles, while it just work on Facebook pages...
If you already created a page using the above instruction, then just use the URL in the Optimized FB Like Box Link property to enable it.
If it didn't, please update us with your page link to see what's wrong.
You can freely contact us via our ticketing system if you want to provide any classified information, just click on Submit a Ticket from the menu above.

how to join my facebook page to FB from my website.
This will need core changes on the Facebook API itself, and you have to do it manually, you can google it to find a solution for your case.
Regards.
What do you mean with "join my facebook page to FB from my website"?
Please explain more so we can help you further .
Regards.
I want it to stream the newsfeed, but it keeps displaying the FB page activity instead. Is there a configuration switch I've missed?
Thanks in advance.
Actually the module display the page activity according the facebook widget API, so there is no such option.

for a Facebook Page that already exists, i.e., my main FB page?
Actually this is the URL itself for the FB page, and you can't generate it yourself.
Just create a FB page using the described article above, and take the URL for the page and use it in our module.
Regards.
This module will show the fan box for your page, so it will show all the activities on your page plus all the people that liked your page (by enabling Show Faces in the module), you can hide the stream and show only faces to show the people who liked your page only.
Regards.
We answered JohnB above, and we answered with the following:

I think that the https links is the problem, try to remove the (S) and use http only, I think this may work.
Hope this help.
http://www.facebook.com/GTSEngineReconditioning
I've entered this into your module making sure to not use https.
I've published your module on their website at:
http://gtsengine.com.au/
However, when I click on Like, I get a red error message. When I click on that error link it opens up a FB window that says:
The page at https://www.facebook.com/GTSEngineReconditioning could not be reached.
Any ideas?
Facebook Public Profile
However, other sites that show likes still show faces and the like button even if I'm not logged in.
This is related to your Privacy and Visibility settings for your page, please try to put some public settings for your page in order to render this page for your public clients...
I tried to access your page directly (without any module) by visiting your page link, and I was redirected automatically to my own home page,, this means that I do not have privilege to show this page directly, which means, the module also can't render this page to show it to the clients,,,
Please check your page's privacy and visibility settings.
Regards.
We checked our module in the latest Firefox (8.0.1) and it was rendered normally ( you can check it using the following link : http://www.o-sense.com/joomla/ofblikebox.html )...
Please make sure that you are using the latest version of our Optimized FB Like Box, and try to toggle between the "Generated Code Types", since some templates of Joomla do not support the iFrame for example or other types,,,
Test the other types and make sure that it will work fine.
If you need any direct assistance, do not hesitate to open a support ticket with your page link data to test it.
Regards.
suggestions? thanks
Please try to check your Privacy and Visibility settings for your page, if you make your page normally using the above steps, then it is only a privacy settings for your profile (or page) that will prevent the page to render normally..
Update us via ticket if you need any assistance.
Regards.
Where in your coding could I add that to make this work? Showing Activity does not help me at all, I need to show the Wall Feed.
We will add this new option on the module soon and release a patch for that.
Please standby.
This will need extra customization on the Facebook API itself, you can search Google for such customization.
Thanks.
how do i prevent this?
Can you please show us this case in your website? please give us your page link to test this issue, since there is no such reported thing in our tickets...
Please open a ticket with us to follow up your issue with your URL.
Thanks.

Thank you for contacting Optimized Sense..
We are glad that our module helped you.
Actually this issue is a bug on the FB Like Box widget itself, and it is already reported on the Facebook Developers Issue Tracker.
You can go there and search on the "Duplicate Faces Problem" on the Facebook Developers Issue Tracker and you will see their progress, since it is opened since a while actually...
Feel free to contact us for any further inquiries.
Regards.
P.S.: Don't forget to rate our extension in the Joomla! Extensions Directory (JED) using the following link:

And then Submit a Review...
Thanks, great.
I rather have some few adjustments that I need some help with.
First the Module is rather large for my small sized webpage and while trying to adjust the height and width, I loose seeing the faces of my FB people.
Is there any way this can be done in another way so that I can see faces just like I see in other websites?
Thx a mill
Best Regards
Mokor
Me again.
When the width fits in 200 and the height is 600, there is a large space between my face icon above and my FB friends faces below.
Any ideas please?
Best Regards
To my previous post, I see that on your website demo sample, there is a "stream" between my FB page icon above and my FB friends faces below, but on my own installation, I cannot see any "stream".
Best Regards
Mokor

I hope that everything is solved now, contact us via our ticketing system for better follow up from our side.

is there a way to set the number of faces you like to show? Default it shows 10, I'd like to show more.
Thx
Actually it shall show faces according to the width/height of the module, plus it depends on the number of profiles who likes your page. Note that any profile with privacy settings it will not show in the faces, because his settings prevent that...
So, just modify the width/height of the module, get more likes to your page (with public profiles), and you will see more faces.
Thanks.

I had version 3.2.0 of your module running without a hitch for awhile. Today I noticed there was a 3.2.2 version so I downloaded and installed it. Now instead of getting the Facebook feed I just get "'); //]]> ". Literally, that's it. Not even the frame around the feed appears (though I do get the module title). Nothing has changed other than the version of the module. Any ideas why?
For any issues you face on the modules, please open a ticket and we will be gladly assist you.
v3.2.0:
+ Support J3.0.
v3.2.1:
+ Fixed the crash when used in Joomla! 3.0.
v3.2.2:
+ Fixed the (Module Parameters) Administration tab that was disabled in Joomla! 3.
Thanks.
As of today the the like-box doesn't show the stream anymore. We had the v3.0.0 and i upgraded to 3.2.2 but no change. The URL: www.rojteatern.nu. Some changes FB done?
For sure there is something wrong from Facebook themselves, which you can make sure by visiting this link and check that even their original widget is not working correctly:
https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/like-box-for-pages
Usually this shall be fixed from Facebook automatically very soon. So please standby.
Thanks.
