Absolute Position Adding to Joomla! for Optimized Campaign to Work Properly
Posted by Optimized Sense on 21 August 2011 10:45 AM

The Optimized Campaign module must be published in the most absolute position, as absolute as possible, so it will be free to move or fixed.

If you have a problem where the Optimized Campaign module did not published properly using any position on your template, you can solve this problem permanently in any template, and any future template, by making sure that there is a position (Absolute) in your template, if there is not, you can create one, with very simple and easy steps.

1.  In the (.../templates/template-name/index.php), put the following <div> just after the <body>, <div id="absolute"><jdoc:include type="modules" name="absolute" style="xhtml” /></div>

It will look something like:

<body>

                <div id="absolute"><jdoc:include type="modules" name="absolute" style="xhtml” /></div>

</body>

2.  In the (.../templates/template-name/templateDetails.xml) go to <positions> tag and enter the following: <position>absolute</position>,

It will look something like:

<positions>

                      <position>absolute</position>

                      ...

                      ...

                      ...

</positions>

Now you have absolute position, and you can publish our module there with no problems in the Fixed or Scrollable styles.

Great guide on creating an absolute positioning. Had to adjust the top/bottom margin to -53 to get it to fit in the right corner. But other than that worked fine.
